When a lessee makes periodic cash payments for a finance lease, the account that is decreased is the lease liability. The correct option is c. lease liability.
This is because the lease liability represents the obligation of the lessee to make lease payments over the lease term. As the lessee makes cash payments, the lease liability decreases accordingly.
The right-of-use asset is not decreased by the periodic cash payments because it represents the lessee's right to use the leased asset over the lease term. The lease rental expense is not decreased by the periodic cash payments because it represents the total cost of the lease to the lessee over the lease term, including both the lease liability and the interest expense.
The interest expense is not decreased by the periodic cash payments because it represents the cost of financing the lease liability. As the lessee makes cash payments, the interest portion of the payment decreases while the principal portion (which reduces the lease liability) increases.
Overall, the periodic cash payments for a finance lease primarily reduce the lease liability account, reflecting the lessee's obligation to make lease payments over the lease term. The correct option is c. lease liability.

a bank has made a risky loan to a midsize consumer goods manufacturer. with the weaker economy, the borrower is expected to have trouble repaying the loan. the bank decides to purchase a digital default option. which one of the following payout patterns does a digital option provide?
A digital option provides a binary payout pattern, which means that it has only two possible outcomes: a fixed payout if a specified condition is met, or no payout if the condition is not met. In the case of a default option, the condition typically relates to the occurrence or non-occurrence of a credit event, such as the borrower defaulting on the loan.
If the borrower defaults on the loan, the digital option would trigger and provide a fixed payout to the bank. However, if the borrower manages to repay the loan or does not default within the specified period, the digital option would not be exercised, and there would be no payout.
The use of a digital default option allows the bank to hedge its risk exposure by providing a form of insurance against the borrower's default. By purchasing this option, the bank ensures that it will receive a predetermined payout in the event of default, providing some level of protection for its loan to the consumer goods manufacturer.

How does trimming differ from grading?
Answer: It is used to reduce bulk
Explanation: Brainliest pls:)
Answer: Eliminate bulky seam allowances by clipping, notching, and trimming seams in specific areas of a garment. And achieve a flawlessly pressed finish on curves and points in the process. In this article we’ll talk about how to much fabric to trim and how to efficiently reduce bulk.
Of course, every garment and fabric can lead to different results so you will learn to use your intuition to combine these skills for the best results. The best practice is to test out on scraps first if you are unsure before cutting into your actual garment, for example if making your first coat, check how bulky your seam allowances will be on chunky wool or on a silky blouse, check the seam allowance won’t show through in an unsightly way.
TRIMMING AND GRADING
Trimming and grading are used to reduce bulk. With trimming you are cutting back excess fabric most often from the seam allowance, in a specific area. Grading helps you layer the thickness of fabric at the seam allowance to disguise the bulk on certain seams.
For grading, trim one half of the seam allowance to half its width. I like to use duck billed scissors also known as applique scissors because one blade has a large plate shape that pushes the underlayer of fabric out of the way safely and avoids unwanted snips.
Single Image
Pressing your seams open is a great way to distribute bulk evenly to each side. But when multiple pattern pieces are joined together, trimming and grading helps eliminate bulk at the intersection of seams. This is especially helpful at the underarm area and between the legs on the curved crotch seam where the seams aren’t pressed open.
It’s very helpful to trim is the small square area created by two seams intersecting. Here you trim at a 45 degree angle to remove small triangles of seam allowance caught in the intersection. And if the intersecting seam will be pressed in one direction, rather than open (for example at the waist seam) consider grading the seam allowance behind to half.
Single Image
How you will trim or grade can depend on the finish of your garment, for instance whether there is a lining or facing and the internal seam allowances will be left raw. In this scenario you can reduce bulk by trimming one side of the seam allowance to half. Perfect for collars and cuffs, and necklines.
When working with heavier fabrics you can also reduce the bulk created by any darts by cutting them open along the length, stopping a few mm from the tip, and pressing open the bulk.
The most common issue I see is people failing to trim points correctly on collars, cuffs, waistband ends or pocket corners. Grade the seam allowance first, then trim the point to at least to a 50 degree angle. Commonly people just snip off at 45 degrees but that’s not enough!
Single Image
Similarly you may want to grade the seam allowance from the hem area to allow for smoother folding up of the hem. Start the grade just below where the folded edge will sit.
Single Image
CLIPPING AND NOTCHING
Ever sewn a beautiful curve and then tried to press the allowance flat, and ended up with a lumpy seam? The seam allowance needs a few careful snips to lie flat and there are different methods for clipping convex (for example on princess seam) and concave curves (around a neckline).
Don’t forget, you can grade a curve before you clip or notch it!
Notching
Convex curves are found on rounded pockets, peter pan collars and some styles of curved hems. But you may not have realised that on these designs, the raw edge of the seam allowance measures longer than the seam line you’ve sewed. So when you try to press the seam flat, you have excess fabric in the way. Notching will remove the excess and help you press a smooth curve.
Using small scissors, cut small triangles out of the allowance. The tighter your curve, the closer together your notches should be. For a gentle curve, notching every few cm should be enough. Ensure the lowest v point of your notching is still a few mm away from the stitching line so you don’t weaken the seam and risk fraying. Around armholes you will need to make several notches in the seam allowance and then trim any seam intersections (keep reading).
Single Image
When pressed to the right side, the notches will close up slightly but not overlap, keeping the seam neat on the outside.
Single Image
You may also be asked in your pattern instructions to clip into the seam allowance of a bulky single pressed hem or curved hem to hem you press up the allowance. Imagine the curved hem of a man’s shirt or thick brocade flared skirt.
Clipping
I often see people notching concave seam allowance around necklines. All you need to do is clip into the allowance so it can spread! But there’s no harm in notching instead of clipping. Start with a clip at the bottom of the curve (or v point), for example the centre front point of a round neckline then work evenly out to each side.

One to two sentences, explain what happens to a production possibilities curve if a natural disaster creates a scarcity of a key resource needed to make a product. Explain why this happens.
A natural disaster causing a scarcity of a key resource necessary for production will result in a shift inward or to the left of the production possibilities curve.
This occurs because the reduced availability of the key resource limits the economy's ability to produce the affected product, leading to a decrease in overall production capacity.
As a result, the economy's production possibilities are constrained, and it is forced to operate at a suboptimal level.
The scarcity of the key resource disrupts the balance between the production of different goods, leading to a decrease in potential output.
The economy will need to allocate its limited resources and adjust its production mix accordingly, potentially focusing on alternative products or finding substitutes for the scarce resource in order to maximize production under the new constraints imposed by natural disaster-induced scarcity.

The book value for year 4 according to the double-declining balance depreciation method is $118,519.
What is the double declining balance method?A double-declining balance method is a type of accelerated depreciation method in which the asset value is depreciated twice as fast as the straight-line method.
Calculation of the depreciation at the end of the year 1 is :
Depreciation = Cost of the equipment × 2/expected life
= $600,000*2/6
= $ 200,000
The book value at the end of the year 1 = $ 600,000 - $ 200,000
= $ 400,000
Calculation of depreciation at the end of the year 2 is :
Depreciation = Book value at the end of year 1 × 2/expected life
= $400,000*2/6
= $ 133,333
The book value at the end of the year 2 = $ 400,000 - $133,333
= $ 266,667
Calculation of depreciation at the end of the year 3 is :
Depreciation = Book value at the end of year 1 × 2/expected life
= $266,667*2/6
= $ 88,889
The book value at the end of the year 3= $266,667 - $ 88,889
= $ 177,778
Calculation of depreciation at the end of the year 4 is :
Depreciation = Book value at the end of year 1 × 2/expected life
= $177,778*2/6
= $ 59,259
∴ The book value at the end of the year 4 = $ 177,778 - $ 59,259
= $ 118,519
Therefore, $118,519 is the book value for year 4 according to the double declining balance depreciation method.

Management should guard against incentive payments being seen as _____. a. too competitive b. equitable c. permanent d. an entitlement.
Incentive payments should not be seen as an entitlement, and management should guard against such perceptions.
Incentive payments are a way for companies to motivate and reward employees for their performance and contribution to the company's success. However, if employees start to see these payments as an entitlement or a guaranteed part of their compensation, it can lead to unrealistic expectations and even resentment when those expectations are not met. Management needs to communicate clearly that incentive payments are not permanent or guaranteed, but rather a reward for exceptional performance and a way to share in the company's success. It is also important to ensure that incentive programs are designed fairly and transparently, so that all employees have a clear understanding of how they can earn these rewards and feel motivated to work towards them. The last payment will be made at the end of the 15th year. Determine the present value if the annual effective rate of interest is 2%. Round your answer to the nearest cent. [7] (b) An annuity-due consists of a first payment of $100, with subsequent payments increased by 7% over the previous one until the 10th payment, after which subsequent payments are level at the amount of the 10th payment. If the effective rate of interest is 7% per payment period, determine the present value of this annuity-due with 20 payments. Round your answer to the nearest cent
The present value of the series of uneven cash flows and the annuity-due with increasing and level payments can be calculated by discounting each cash flow back to the present using the respective effective rates of interest.
(a) To calculate the present value of the series of uneven cash flows, we need to discount each cash flow back to the present using the given annual effective rate of interest of 2%. The first cash flow of $100 at the end of the 1st year does not need to be discounted since it is already at the present time. The subsequent cash flows of $200, $400, $600, and so on, occur every 2 years. We can treat these cash flows as a series of regular cash flows of $200 at the end of every 2 years. We can use the present value of an ordinary annuity formula to calculate the present value of these cash flows:
Present Value = \($100 + $200/(1 + r)^2 + $200/(1 + r)^4 + $200/(1 + r)^6 + ... + $200/(1 + r)^30\)
where r is the annual effective rate of interest (2% in this case). By substituting the values and calculating the sum, we can find the present value of this series of cash flows.
(b) For the annuity-due with increasing payments followed by level payments, we need to calculate the present value of each payment and then sum them up to find the total present value. The first payment is $100 and subsequent payments increase by 7% over the previous one until the 10th payment. After the 10th payment, subsequent payments remain constant at the amount of the 10th payment. We can use the present value of an annuity-due formula to calculate the present value of these cash flows:
Present Value = \($100/(1 + r) + ($100 * (1 + g))/(1 + r)^2 + ($100 * (1 + g)^2)/(1 + r)^3 + ... + ($100 * (1 + g)^10)/(1 + r)^11 + ($100 * (1 + g)^10)/(1 + r)^12 + ... + ($100 * (1 + g)^10)/(1 + r)^30\)
where r is the effective rate of interest (7% per payment period) and g is the growth rate of subsequent payments (7% in this case). By substituting the values and calculating the sum, we can find the present value of this annuity-due with 20 payments.

Security Y has expected return of 11% and standard deviation of 22%. If the two securities have a correlation coefficient of -0.45, their covariance is -0.0139.
The directional link between the returns of two assets is measured by covariance. A positive covariance indicates that asset returns move together, whereas a negative covariance indicates that they move inversely.
Covariance is derived by examining at-return surprises (standard deviations from expected return) or by multiplying the correlation between two random variables by their standard deviations.
Covariance measures the relationship between the mean values of two random variables. For example, if stock A's return rises everytime stock B's return rises, and the same link is discovered when each stock's return falls, these stocks are said to have positive covariance.

Option a is correct. The main economic driver is aggregate demand, but since free markets lack self-balancing mechanisms that lead to full employment, stabilising an economy frequently requires government intervention.
A macroeconomic theory known as Keynesian economics examines the total amount of spending in the economy and how it affects production, employment, and inflation. In an effort to comprehend the Great Depression, British economist John Maynard Keynes created it in the 1930s.
The fundamental tenet of Keynesian economics is that economic stabilisation may be achieved by government intervention. Keynes' theory was the first to clearly distinguish between the study of individual motivations and economic behaviour from those of broad aggregate variables and conceptions.
Keynes' theory led him to propose higher government spending and lower taxes as a way to boost demand and rescue the world economy from the Great Depression. Later, the term "Keynesian economics" was used to describe the idea that economic performance could be optimised and economic downturns might be avoided.
