Answer:
A good symbol in Romeo and Juliet is the poison. In Act 2, scene 2, Friar Lawrence says that every plant, herb, and stone has its own special properties and that nothing exists in nature that cannot be put to both good and bad uses. Poison is not intrinsically evil, but instead it's a natural substance made lethal by human hands. Friar Lawrence’s words prove true over the course of the play. The sleeping potion he gives Juliet is made to cause the appearance of dying, not death itself, but through circumstances beyond the Friar’s control, the potion does bring about a fatal result: Romeo’s death. Similarly, Romeo suggests that society is to blame for the apothecary’s criminal selling of poison because while there are laws prohibiting the Apothecary from selling poison, there are no laws that would help the apothecary make money. Poison symbolizes human society’s tendency to poison good things and make them fatal, just as the pointless Capulet-Montague feud turns Romeo and Juliet’s love to poison. After all, unlike many other tragedies, Romeo and Juliet doesn't have an evil villain, but rather people whose good qualities are turned to poison by the world in which they live.

Which statement best compares Brutus’s remarks at the death of his wife, Portia, to his words before his own death?
Answer:
Brutus is more philosophical about his own death than he is about Portia’s.
Explanation:
Brutus is emotional at the death of Portia as he is overcome by grief and gets himself drunk and grieves painfully for his wife Portia while admitting that he is "sick of many griefs".
In contrast, Brutus is more philosophical about his own death by taking it as inevitable and a payback for his betrayal of Caesar and indeed he takes his life before Mark Anthony has the chance to execute him.

The diameter of a cylinder is 2,000 in. The
height of the cylinder is 8,000 in. What is
the approximate volume of the cylinder?
Use 3. 14 for π.
Calculating this expression, we find that the approximate volume of the cylinder is 25,120,000,000 cubic inches.
The approximate volume of the cylinder can be calculated by using the formula for the volume of a cylinder, which is V = πr²h, where π is the constant 3.14, r is the radius, and h is the height.
Given that the diameter of the cylinder is 2,000 in, we can calculate the radius by dividing the diameter by 2: r = 2,000 in / 2 = 1,000 in.
The height of the cylinder is given as 8,000 in.
Substituting these values into the volume formula, we get V = 3.14 * (1,000 in)² * 8,000 in.
Calculating this expression, we find that the approximate volume of the cylinder is 25,120,000,000 cubic inches.

When I got up to work today, I can't imagine how scared I would be, because the accident at work that hurt my colleagues was a little scary, but we knew it would happen sooner or later.
The day started normally and when I arrived at my workplace I wasn't even scared by the noise and excess heat of the environment. I'm used to it after the eight-hour workday I've been following for an year.
The thing that rocked my routine happened when I heard screams of pain coming from the back of the room. I ran to see what happened when I came across two colleagues who had suffered massive burns and were in a lot of pain.
The burn came from the machines we work with, which get extremely hot when they are working. We don't have any equipment to protect us from that, which shows that this kind of accident would happen at any time.
Fortunately, my colleagues received medical care, which took a long time to arrive, but my friends were helped and needed to spend a few days at home to recover.

The exercise below has to do with arithmetic progressions and or arithmetic sequence.
What is an Arithmetic Progression?An arithmetic progression is a sequence of numbers where the difference between each consecutive term remains constant as the sequence progresses.
The next three terms and the rule for finding the nth term in each sequence is given as follows:
A) 1.1,4,9,16,25,36.
The rule for finding the nth term: square each term in the arithmetic series 1², 2², 3², 4², ....nth term = n², etc to get the present term in the sequence.
That is:
1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36 = 1² 2² 3² 4² 5² 6²
To get the next three terms, we say:
= 7², 8² , 9² = 49, 64, 81
hence, new number sequence 1 , 4, 9, 16, 25, 36, 49, 64, 81.
B) 3, 5, 7, 9,
The rule for finding the nth term here is the Rule for finding the nth term: 2n + 1.
Hence:
3 = 2 (1) + 1 = 3
5 = 2 (2) + 1 = 5
7 = 2 (3) + 1 = 7
9 = 2 (4) + 1 = 9
Therefore the next three terms in the sequence will be arrived at as follows:
2(5) +1 = 10 + 1 = 11
2(6) + 1 = 12 + 1 = 13
2(7) + 1 = 14 + 1 = 15
The updated number sequence is 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, and 15.
C) 20, 16, 12, 8. The next three terms is gotten using the rule (20n-4n). That is:
20 - 4 = 16 = [20 - 4(1) ]
16 - 4 = 12 = [20 - 4(2)]
12 - 4 = 8 = [20 - 4(3)]. Thus the next three terms are:
[20 - 4(4)] = 4
[20 - 4(5)] = 0
[20 - 4(6)] = -4
Hence the updated number sequence is:
20, 16, 12, 8, 4, 0, -4

Compare Rosa Parks’s experience on a bus on December 1st, 1955 with the experience of William Minner’s dad at a spring near Spiro, Oklahoma
Answer:
Rosa Parks's experience on a bus on December 1st, 1955, and William Minner's dad's experience at a spring near Spiro, Oklahoma, represent two distinct instances of discrimination and segregation in different contexts.
Explanation:
Rosa Parks's experience on the bus in Montgomery, Alabama, was a pivotal moment in the Civil Rights Movement. By refusing to give up her seat to a white passenger, she challenged the unjust laws that enforced racial segregation on public transportation. Her act of defiance sparked a city-wide bus boycott and became a symbol of resistance against racial inequality.
On the other hand, William Minner's dad's experience at a spring near Spiro, Oklahoma, likely pertains to the era of Jim Crow segregation prevalent in the South. This region was characterized by laws and practices that enforced racial segregation in public facilities, including springs, parks, and other recreational areas. African Americans were often subjected to separate and inferior facilities, denied access to certain spaces, and faced discrimination in their everyday lives.
Both experiences reflect the pervasive and systemic racism that existed during their respective times. While Rosa Parks's act of resistance challenged segregation on public transportation, William Minner's dad's experience highlights the broader patterns of segregation and discrimination faced by African Americans in various aspects of life.
