$9 and 70 units.
If demand is represented by columns (3) and (1) and supply is represented by columns (3) and (4), equilibrium price and quantity will be option A: $9 and 60 units.
Why is the above at equilibrium price and quantity?Demand and supply forces are balanced at an equilibrium price. Prices have a propensity to return to this equilibrium unless certain demand or supply characteristics alter. When demand, supply, or both move or change, the equilibrium price will be altered.
Therefore, The quantity supplied exceeds the quantity required when the price is above the equilibrium market price because suppliers will be willing to supply more at that price and consumers will be willing to buy less at that price.
Looking at the table, you will see that the quantity demanded at $9 was the quantity supplied (60 units), hence it is at the equilibrium.

where Qtr1t , Qtr2t and Qtr3t are dummy variables corresponding to Quarters 1, 2 and 3, and t = time period.
The sales forecast for Quarter 4 of the next year is:_______
a. 2600
b. 1232
c. 2006

The sales forecast for Quarter 1 of the next year is
a. 1908
b. 1432
c. 2206
d. 1874
Answer:
2,600 textbook. 1,908 textbooks.Explanation:
1. The equation is based on the past four years so in calculating the time period for Quarter 4 next year, the time period is:
t = (4 * 4 periods) + 4 periods next year
t = 20
Sales forecast is therefore:
= 2,120 + 24t
= 2,120 + 24 * 20
= 2,600 textbooks
2. The time period will be:
t = (4 * 4 periods) + 1 quarter
t = 17 quarters
Sales forecast:
= 2,120 - 620 + 24t
= 2,120 - 620 + 24 * 17
= 1,908 textbooks.

What is the requirement to form contract ?
The requirement to form a valid contract are -
1. Acceptance: Your Offer Is Accepted
Acceptance entails exactly what it sounds like: the recipient of the offer accepts its terms. Acceptance must be willingly given. In other words, because he is under duress, a person who signs a contract while a pistol is pointed directly at him is not legally permitted to accept the offer. This is an extreme case, but there are times when one side is subjected to threats or blackmail in order to prevent him from signing the contract. These are not enforceable in court. The acceptance of the offer must be mutually binding and based solely on the parties' mutual agreement to the conditions of the contract.
2. Consideration: Who Is Paying What.
Consideration is the amount one party will "pay" for the contract to be fulfilled. When defining consideration in a contract, the term "payment" is ambiguous because what a party receives for signing the agreement isn't always monetary. Therefore, even if a real estate contract may specify that the property would be transferred for $1 million in consideration, a renter may be provided with housing in exchange for making improvements to the property while they are residing there .In the end, consideration is regarded as something valuable, and typically, it takes the form of money. However, you would still be accorded consideration if you offered to the company to share your skills and expertise.
3. Our intention is for this agreement to be enforceable in court.
This prerequisite for a contract concerns the goals of each side. Friends and relatives frequently make informal agreements, but they never intend for them to be legally enforceable, meaning that they do not want one person to be able to sue the other if the other does not follow through on their commitments. Due to the lack of a legal intent, this kind of agreement is not a genuine contract. The contract's provisions must also abide by the rules and laws of the state where the agreement was made.
4. Competence: Parties Must Be Experienced
The contract must be signed by and entered into by competent parties. This indicates that the signer is of legal age, has the mental capacity to understand the contract, and is not otherwise incapacitated at the time of signing—that is, not intoxicated or under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Although "capable parties" are a prerequisite for any legal contract, they are closely examined in agreements involving elderly or disabled people. Dementia patients may not be mentally capable of signing a contract transferring ownership of their property to another party.
5. Legal things
A contract can only be considered valid under the Contract Act if it has a legal consideration and a legal purpose. According to the Contract Act, the reasons and purposes listed below are unlawful.

ADUWERE is fast growing profitable company. The company is situated in Iringa, Tanzania. Its sales are expected to grow about three times from TZS 360 million in 2022-2023 to TZS 1,100 million in 2024-2025. The company is considering of commissioning a 35 km pipeline between two areas to carry gas to TANESCO. The project will cost TZS 250 million. The pipeline will have a capacity of 2.5 MMSCM. The company will enter into a contract with TANESCO to supply gas. The revenue from the sale to TANESCO is expected to be TZS 120 million per annum. The pipeline will also be used for transportation of LNG to other users in the area. This is expected to bring additional revenue of TZS 80 million per annum. The company management considers the useful life of the pipeline to be 20 years. The financial manager estimates cash profit to sales ratio of 20% per annum for the first 12 years of the project’s operations and 17% per annum for the remaining life of the project. The project has no salvage value. The project being in a backward area is exempt from paying any taxes. The company requires a rate of return of 15% from the project. Required: 1. What is the project’s payback and return on investment (ROI) 2. Compute project’s NPV and IRR Should the project be accepted? Why?
1. Therefore, the ROI for the project is:ROI = (TZS 1,660 million / TZS 250 million) x 100% = 664%The ROI of the project is 664%.
2. The project should be accepted as the NPV is positive and the IRR is higher than the required rate of return of 15%.
1. Payback period is defined as the duration within which the initial investment made in the project is recovered by the cash inflows that it generates. It is an important capital budgeting tool for measuring the length of time a project will take to recoup the initial investment. Payback period = Initial investment ÷ Net annual cash inflows
The initial investment made by ADUWERE is TZS 250 million.
The net annual cash inflows are calculated as:
Net annual cash inflow = Revenue from TANESCO + Additional revenue from LNG – Operating costs – Maintenance costs
Revenue from TANESCO = TZS 120 million.
Additional revenue from LNG = TZS 80 million
Operating costs = 0.20 * TZS 360 million = TZS 72 million
Maintenance costs = (250/2000)*TZS 360 million = TZS 45 million
Net annual cash inflow = TZS 83 million.
Therefore, the payback period of the project is:Payback period = TZS 250 million ÷ TZS 83 million = 3.01 years. The project has a payback period of 3.01 years. This means that the initial investment made by ADUWERE in the project will be recovered within 3.01 years. Since the useful life of the pipeline is 20 years, this indicates that the project is acceptable.
ROI = (Total net cash inflow / Initial investment) x 100%The total net cash inflow for the project is calculated as:
Total net cash inflow = Net annual cash inflow x Useful life
Total net cash inflow = TZS 83 million x 20 = TZS 1,660 million
Therefore, the ROI for the project is:ROI = (TZS 1,660 million / TZS 250 million) x 100% = 664%.
The ROI of the project is 664%. This indicates that the project is acceptable as the ROI is higher than the required rate of return of 15%.2. Net Present Value (NPV) is the difference between the present value of cash inflows and the present value of cash outflows. NPV = ∑ (Cash inflows / (1 + r)t) – Initial investment
Where,r = Required rate of returnt = Time periodThe NPV of the project is:NPV = (TZS 83 million / (1 + 0.15)1) + (TZS 83 million / (1 + 0.15)2) + … + (TZS 83 million / (1 + 0.15)20) – TZS 250 millionNPV = TZS 505.6 millionIRR or Internal Rate of Return is defined as the rate at which the net present value of the cash inflows is equal to the net present value of cash outflows.
In other words, it is the discount rate that equates the present value of cash inflows with the present value of cash outflows. The IRR of the project can be determined by trial and error method or by using Excel’s IRR function.Using Excel’s IRR function, we get IRR = 47.95%The project should be accepted as the NPV is positive and the IRR is higher than the required rate of return of 15%.

*. Forecasts - Preparation of Forecasts
*. Budgets - Preparation of pro forma financial statement
*. Financial Ratios - Ongoing analysis of financial results
The process of financial management involves the preparation and analysis of historic financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and ongoing monitoring of financial ratios.
The process of financial management involves several key components that contribute to effective financial decision-making and the overall financial health of a business. Here is an explanation of each component:
Importance of Financial Statements - Preparation of Historic Financial Statements:
Financial statements, such as the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement, provide a historical snapshot of a company's financial performance, position, and cash flows. These statements are crucial for assessing profitability, liquidity, solvency, and overall financial stability. By analyzing past financial statements, management can identify trends, evaluate the impact of previous decisions, and make informed decisions for the future.
Forecasts - Preparation of Forecasts:
Forecasts involve projecting future financial performance based on historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors. This process helps businesses anticipate potential opportunities, challenges, and financial needs. Forecasts typically include projected income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, providing insights into expected revenue, expenses, assets, liabilities, and cash flows. It enables management to plan and allocate resources effectively, set financial goals, and make strategic decisions.
Budgets - Preparation of Pro Forma Financial Statements:
Budgets are financial plans that outline anticipated income, expenses, and cash flows for a specific period, typically on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis. Pro forma financial statements, including pro forma income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, are created as part of the budgeting process. Budgets help in setting targets, allocating resources, and monitoring performance against the planned financial objectives. They serve as a roadmap for financial management and aid in identifying areas that require adjustment or improvement.
Financial Ratios - Ongoing Analysis of Financial Results:
Financial ratios are quantitative indicators that provide insights into a company's financial performance, efficiency, and profitability. Ratios compare different financial figures from the financial statements to assess liquidity, profitability, solvency, efficiency, and other key aspects. By monitoring and analyzing financial ratios on an ongoing basis, management can identify trends, compare performance against industry benchmarks, and make informed decisions to optimize financial performance. These components contribute to understanding a company's financial position, making informed decisions, and driving sustainable growth and profitability.

Additionally, a Series 66 license is often required, which covers state securities regulations and ethical practices. Optional certifications include the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, which requires a bachelor's degree, passing an exam, and completing ongoing education requirements.
Another optional certification is the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, which requires passing a series of three exams and obtaining relevant work experience. For example, to obtain a Series 7 license, an individual must first be sponsored by a FINRA registered broker-dealer and complete a training program. Then, they must pass the Series 7 exam, which covers a broad range of financial topics.
Continuing education is required to maintain the license, with a focus on updates and changes in securities regulations and ethical practices. It was a helpful exercise in identifying my strengths and weaknesses and where I need to focus my study efforts. The practice test was a useful tool to assess my readiness for the actual exam and helped me gain a better understanding of the level of knowledge and skills required to become a Certified Financial Planner.
