Answers

The growth of the manufacturing industry had a profound effect on the oil industry, albeit in different ways the growth of manufacturing and its relationship with the oil industry represented a dynamic interplay between increased demand and evolving technologies.

While the expansion of manufacturing increased the demand for oil in certain aspects, it also brought about changes that decreased the need for oil in other areas.

Firstly, the growth of manufacturing increased the need for oil to transport factory machinery.

As industries expanded and factories proliferated, the transportation of heavy machinery became crucial.

Oil played a significant role in powering locomotives, steamships, and other modes of transportation that facilitated the movement of factory equipment.

The rise of railroads, in particular, relied heavily on oil as a source of fuel, enabling efficient and rapid transportation of goods and machinery across long distances.

Secondly, the growth of manufacturing increased the need for oil to run factory machinery.

Many manufacturing processes relied on machinery powered by oil, such as steam engines and other industrial equipment.

Oil was used as a source of energy to drive these machines, providing the power necessary for mass production and industrialization.

As factories expanded and modernized, the demand for oil as a fuel source for running machinery grew significantly.

However, it is worth noting that the growth of manufacturing also brought about changes that decreased the need for oil in certain aspects.

Technological advancements and innovations in manufacturing processes led to the development of more efficient machinery that required less oil to operate.

Additionally, the increased utilization of electricity as an alternative source of energy in factories reduced the reliance on oil for powering machinery.

In summary, the growth of manufacturing had a complex impact on the oil industry.

how did the aztecs describe to montezuma the spanish ships off the coast? what details captured their attention the most? what factors contributed to the defeat of the aztecs by cortes?

Answers

According to historical accounts, the Aztecs described the Spanish ships off the coast to Montezuma as enormous structures that seemed to glide over the water. They were fascinated by the size of the vessels, their unfamiliar appearance, and the fact that they could move without the aid of oars. The Spanish ships, known as caravels, were equipped with sails and were unlike any watercraft the Aztecs had previously encountered.

The details that captured the Aztecs' attention the most were the imposing size of the ships, the advanced technology involved in their construction, and their ability to navigate the seas without the conventional means used by the Aztecs. The sight of the European armaments, such as cannons and firearms, also left a significant impression on the Aztecs.

Several factors contributed to the defeat of the Aztecs by Hernán Cortés and his forces:

Technological Superiority: The Spanish had superior weaponry, including cannons, guns, and steel armor, which gave them a significant advantage over the Aztecs, who primarily used traditional weapons such as spears and arrows.

Allies and Indigenous Tribes: Cortés formed alliances with indigenous tribes who were enemies of the Aztecs, such as the Tlaxcalans and other city-states that resented Aztec dominance. These alliances provided Cortés with additional troops and local knowledge.

Disease: The Aztecs were devastated by European diseases, particularly smallpox, to which they had no immunity. The spread of these diseases, brought by the Spanish, decimated the Aztec population and weakened their ability to resist.

Political Unrest: The Aztecs faced internal divisions and discontent among certain subject peoples who saw an opportunity to rebel against Aztec rule. This further weakened their ability to withstand the Spanish invasion.

Strategic Tactics: Cortés employed strategic maneuvers, such as taking advantage of existing rivalries and utilizing diplomacy to divide and conquer Aztec resistance. He also captured Montezuma, the Aztec emperor, and used him as a puppet ruler to control the Aztec population.

Psychological Warfare: Cortés and his men exploited the Aztecs' religious beliefs and superstitions to their advantage. They portrayed themselves as god-like figures and used fear and intimidation to subdue the Aztecs.

Combining these factors, Cortés and his forces were able to exploit the weaknesses of the Aztec Empire and ultimately overthrow their rule, leading to the fall of Tenochtitlan and the end of the Aztec civilization.

D. Few Chinese consumers are interested in buying foreign

Answers

Answer:

Chinese consumers believe that computer prices will rise in the future.

Explanation:

If Chinese consumers believe that prices will rise in future, they will try to buy more computers in the present in order to save on having to spend more money in future.

The company would therefore have to produce more computers in order to satisfy this demand.

The other options are incorrect because of the following below:

if few Chinese consumers are interested in foreign computers, the company would produce less to match the reduced demand.if shipping costs to China have increased, the company will produce less so as to avoid as much shipping costs as possible.if the Chinese government raises taxes on foreign goods, the company will produce and export less to China so as to incur less taxes.

Hence, if Chinese consumers believe that computer prices will go up in future, they would most probably buy more in the present which would make the company produce more.

The correct option is C. Governments create unequal societies that best characterize the ideas of Jean-Jacques Rousseau.

The general will of the people, according to Rousseau, could not be determined by elected officials. He supported a direct democracy in which all citizens cast ballots to determine the laws of the land and express the public desire. A small-scale democracy, similar to the city-state of his birthplace Geneva, was what Rousseau had in mind.

What was the impact of Rousseau's ideas?

In many ways, Rousseau was the most influential modern philosopher despite having the least academic training. The European Enlightenment, or the "Age of Reason," came to an end with his ideas. He opened up new avenues for political and ethical thought. His changes brought about a revolution in taste, first in music and subsequently in other arts.

An Enlightenment philosopher from Switzerland named Jean-Jacques Rousseau had some unorthodox theories. He zealously advocated for democracy, equality, liberty, and advancing the common good by all means necessary. He may have utopian or dystopian beliefs, but they are nonetheless worth considering because they have the potential to influence the current conversation.

hope this helped love <33

Answer:

A. The south had always been dependent on slaves or indentured servants to accomplish their main market which was the crops. Cotton cultivation was one of the main factors that led to the growth of slavery in the south. This is because there was more demand for cotton and therefore, there needed to be more people to work it. Apart from this, there was also the Southern cultural ideologies which had basically believed in slavery since the beginning. The south had always been based on cash crops and needed lots of people to work it. This led to slavery being part of the culture of the south.

B. There were many forms that African-Americans showed resistance. Some of these were rebellions, running away, causing work slowdowns, damaging tools and sabotaging and breaking the rules.

Areas near the equator are the hottest, and the further away you get from the equator in either direction (north or south) the cooler it gets.In your own words answer this: If 0 latitude is hot and 90 latitude is cold, would you predict the weather in your city to be relatively warm or relatively cool? Why?__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Based on the latitude/location of your city answer the questions using complete sentences. Remember, weather is the day-to-day conditions of a place. Climate is the average weather conditions of a place over a period of years. You are to examine and discuss the climate of your city. The Earth is unevenly heated by the sun due to the sun hitting some areas more directly than others. How does that impact the temperatures in your city? (Worth 4 points)__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Large global wind systems are created by the uneven heating of the Earth's surface. These global wind systems drive air masses to areas creating different climates and weather patterns.Which type of air mass would likely occur in your city? What type of weather would that bring? (air mass types: maritime polar, continental polar, maritime tropical, continental tropical) (Worth 4 points)__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Examine your city and the ocean currents in that area, if any.
