Pathos is the primary technique employed by propaganda.
Explain about the Pathos? The literary device of pathos, also referred to as the appeal to emotion, is used to persuade readers by purposefully evoking certain emotions in them in order to get them to feel the way the author wants them to. Authors choose their words carefully, utilize language that has significance, and employ instances and narratives that arouse emotion.
The original meaning of the Greek term pathos was "suffering" or "experience." Aristotle, a Greek philosopher, is credited with creating the idea of pathos as a persuasive technique. Aristotle lists pathos, egos, and logos as the three main types of persuasion in his work Rhetoric.
The audience is more likely to be persuaded and comply with your wishes if you use pathos since emotions are motivators. Pathos is more likely to improve the odds that your audience will comprehend your viewpoint.

the space of sky above us was the colour of ever-changing violet and towards it thelamps of the street lifted their feeble lanterns. the cold air stung us and we played till ourbodies glowed. our shouts echoed in the silent streets. the career of our play brought usthrough the dark muddy lanes behind the houses where we ran the gauntlet of the roughtribes from the cottages, to the back doors of the dark dripping gardens where odoursarose from the ashpits, to the dark odorous stables where a coachman smoothed andcombed the horse or shook music from the buckled harness.what does the phrase gauntlet of the rough tribes convey about the narrator's perceptionof his experience?
The phrase "running a gauntlet" has come to mean enduring any challenging time in life.
Disillusionment is the main theme of James Joyce's story "Araby." Childhood is portrayed by Joyce as being exciting, enjoyable, and full of creativity. The story's narrator hopes that these emotions would persist throughout his impending adulthood, but they leave him disappointed.
The boy's story of vain journey focuses on his ability to learn the perspectives he now has and his lone romanticism. When he arrives at the market and learns with gradual, tortured clarity that Araby is in no way what he anticipated or envisioned, the pursuit comes to an end.
Since then, the phrase "running a gauntlet" has come to mean enduring any challenging time in life. The reader is predisposed to view this story as a knightly quest (a hero's hunt for a significant object) due to the use of medieval vocabulary.

Before flying, Micah displays a high level of caution and attention to detail by researching the types of planes the airline uses, scanning the plane for defects, and observing the pilot and crew. However, since he has no experience as a pilot or airplane mechanic, Micah's sense of control over the safety of the flight may be misguided.
While it's commendable that Micah is taking an interest in the safety of his flight, his actions may not necessarily result in a better understanding of the plane's safety or increase his ability to assess the plane's safety accurately. While scanning the plane for defects might be helpful in identifying obvious signs of damage or issues, Micah likely lacks the sense of technical knowledge to identify more subtle problems that could affect the plane's safety. Similarly, observing the pilot and crew might not provide Micah with an accurate assessment of their abilities and experience as professionals in the aviation industry.

In this hard toil I’ve such a goiter grown, Like cats that water drink in Lombardy, (Or wheresoever else the place may be) That chin and belly meet perforce in one. My beard doth point to heaven, my scalp its place Upon my shoulder finds; my chest, you’ll say, A harpy’s is, my paintbrush all the day Doth drop a rich mosaic on my face. My loins have entered my paunch within, My nether end my balance doth supply, My feet unseen move to and fro in vain. In front to utmost length is stretched my skin And wrinkled up in folds behind, while I Am bent as bowmen bend a bow in Spain. No longer true or sane, The judgment now doth from the mind proceed, For ’tis ill shooting through a twisted reed. Then thou, my picture dead, Defend it, Giovan, and my honour—why? The place is wrong, and no painter I. –Michelangelo Buonarroti

Can you think of any situations in which a market incentive could actually help us to become more virtuous? Take marriage for instance, which Sandel touches on. Could one also argue the other way that making a financial commitment to support one's spouse might actually strengthen a bond of love?
Market incentives can undermine moral tendencies, according to Sandel's persuasive argument. When it comes to marriage, financial commitment can deepen the emotional connection and strengthen the love bond.

Based on the passage from "The Raven and the First Men: The Beginnings of the Haida," we can infer that some Haida families lived in homes that had smoke holes in the ceiling.
This can be deduced from the description of Raven as a baby playing with a small box in the chief's dwelling. When Raven tumbled and tossed the box until it fell open, the stars inside flew up through the smoke hole in the ceiling and settled in the night sky.
The presence of a smoke hole suggests that the chief's dwelling was designed to have a central hearth or fire pit where smoke would rise. The smoke hole in the ceiling allowed the smoke to escape, preventing it from filling the living space.
This architectural feature was common in many traditional indigenous dwellings around the world, including those of the Haida people.
The mention of the chief's dwelling specifically highlights the importance of the chief within the Haida community. The fact that the chief's daughter adopted Raven, unaware of his true identity, indicates the level of trust and reverence given to the chief's family.
The ability of the chief to recover from the incident without much distress over the loss of the stars suggests a sense of resilience and adaptability within the Haida culture.
