how is the caste system influence like in South Asia? PLZ ANSWER ASAP!!

Answers

Answer: Even today, most Indian languages use the term "jati" for the system of hereditary social structures in South Asia. When Portuguese travelers to 16th-century India first encountered what appeared to them to be race-based social stratification, they used the Portuguese term "casta" — which means "race" — to describe what they saw. Today, the term "caste" is used to describe stratified societies based on hereditary groups not only in South Asia but throughout the world.

According to one long-held theory about the origins of South Asia's caste system, Aryans from central Asia invaded South Asia and introduced the caste system as a means of controlling the local populations. The Aryans defined key roles in society, then assigned groups of people to them. Individuals were born into, worked, married, ate, and died within those groups. There was no social mobility.

The caste system divides Hindus into four main categories - Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas and the Shudras. Many believe that the groups originated from Brahma, the Hindu God of creation.

In early 2022, the GDP per capita of the United States was $59,312. How does this compare with Guatemala?

Answers

As of 2022, the GDP per capita of the United States is $59,312 while that of Guatemala is $4,392. Therefore, the GDP per capita of the United States is much higher than that of Guatemala. This difference is largely due to the difference in economic development, industrialization, and infrastructure between the two countries.GDP per capita is a measure of the economic output of a country divided by the total number of people in the country. It is a useful indicator of a country's economic health and standard of living. The higher the GDP per capita, the better the standard of living in the country. The lower the GDP per capita, the lower the standard of living and the more difficult it may be for people to access basic needs such as food, housing, and healthcare.

Do you recommend the book The Hunger Games to other people your age? Why or why not? Discuss the plot, characters, and themes (morals or messages) of the story to help support your answer. Use specific details and examples from the book to support your answer.

Write your answer in one paragraph of at least 4 sentences.

Answers

I think that The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is a great book. It tells of a fictitious world in which the citizens of Panem fight to stay alive under the control of a powerful merciless government. Because of a long ago event, where the citizens of Panem grew angry at the Capital, and started a protest, the Capital has been ruthless, intent on forever punishing the Panemians (not an actual word). They developed a cunning way to keep the citizens of Panem in check, by forcing them to sacrifice two children from each district, to fight to the death in an arena. The winner would then be transported home, with food for the entire district. The losing districts would stay hungry and poor. This was a good way for the Capital to keep the districts from rising up against the Capital again, because they were pitted against each other.

Lots of secrets and interesting facts are revealed in each book in The Hunger Games and the other two books in the triology. This is a great book for all ages.

How does paragraph 3 contribute to the structure of the text? common lit
Issues with the Articles of Confederation

pg 3 People are mad because the king wanted us to pay for everything, so the Articles do not let the government ask people for money. This reminds them too much of old King George. Taxes are money that citizens pay their government so that it can keep working. Whenever I meet someone who does not want any taxes, I want to ask them “How are we supposed to pay for the big war that’s going to make us free from the king? How will we pay for anything?” The government will be able to help states who cannot help themselves. This new version of the Articles says that each state will only have to pay based on how much private property is on that land. It seems fair to me, but the richest people do not want to help pay for anything. They want to make sure the government has as little power as possible, so they get to keep their own money!

Answers

Paragraph 3 contributes to the structure of the text by providing historical context and explaining the issues with the Articles of Confederation. It highlights the concerns of the people regarding taxes and draws a connection to their previous experiences under King George's rule. The paragraph also introduces the concept of taxation as a means to support the government and addresses the disagreement among citizens regarding the payment of taxes. It adds depth and perspective to the discussion by presenting different viewpoints and motivations of different groups, specifically the wealthy individuals who desire limited government power to retain their own wealth. Overall, paragraph 3 serves to explain the underlying tensions and conflicts related to taxation and power that influenced the need for a revised version of the Articles of Confederation.

Select 3 reasons why the Chinese kept silk making a secret.

A) They did not think other cultures needed silk.
B) The Chinese guarded the secret to control production and keep the profits.
C) Their trade depended on silk and they did not want to lose trading power.
D) Silk was in demand but difficult to produce and therefore valuable.

It’s definitely between B and C as those are directly related to a reasonable, potential motivation for keeping the secret. Ultimately, I would choose B because it explicitly states the reason as a concern over control of production whereas C makes the leap to trading power which seems presumptuous

Answer:

bronze was used for multiple purposes

Explanation:

Mastery of bronze was an important advancement for the Shang militarily, but the combination of horse, chariot, and composite bow were also integral to its success. The chariot, a two-wheeled war cart pulled by horses, allowed Shang soldiers to move vast distances at great speeds and also acted as a mobile archery platform.

Chinese bronze casting and pottery advanced during the Shang dynasty, with bronze typically being used for ritually significant, rather than primarily utilitarian, items. As far back as c. 1500 BC, the early Shang dynasty engaged in large-scale production of bronze -ware vessels and weapons.
