discuss the tuning and scale system of traditional javanese music, including how the javanese system differs from the western scale system.

Answers

The Javanese scale system divides the octave either equally into five tones or into a seven-toned scale with irregular intervals.

The tones of the Western scale system are not matched by either of these scale systems. Additionally, each gamelan adheres to one of two tuning systems known as pelog and slendro, which are shared by Bali and Java. Each gamelan has its own unique overall tune, which gives each instrument its own tonal identity. A gamelan is an Indonesian orchestra composed of a variety of instruments from Java and Bali. In contrast to learning western orchestral music, a musician will learn more than one instrument when learning gamelan music. Knowing what each instrument contributes to the whole is essential to understanding gamelan.

The term used to describe presenting the subject of a fugue from right to left, or beginning with the last and proceeding back to the first note, is called "retrograde."

Retrograde is a common technique in musical composition where the original melody is played in reverse order. It can add variety to a piece of music and create a sense of symmetry and coherence. In a fugue, retrograde can present the subject in a new and interesting way while maintaining its thematic material.

Retrograde is a technique used in music for centuries, dating back to medieval times. It was particularly popular during the Renaissance and Baroque eras, where composers such as Bach, Handel, and Purcell used it extensively in their works. The use of retrograde was not limited to just fugues, but was also employed in other musical forms such as canons and sonatas.

Answers

Answer:

There are many factors to getting better at art, including value.

Explanation:

Reference photos (as stated in the question) are a simple way to do this. You asked for a way to get better at using reference photos (As you already know haha.)

Anyway back to the answer-

There are a few ways to get better at using ref photos, some artist (even though many frown upon) start out by tracing- (technically many of us did this when we were little anyway- i.e: coloring books, activity pages, etc. )

Tracing can help you improve your coordination and steadiness in your hand as well as give a basic idea of hw to draw more complex shapes.

I also suggest practicing, try finding simple photos and then go from there.

Find the basic shapes in each part of the art (i.e) triangles for a wolf's ear, or a circle for the head) these will help you to form the basic structure of the drawing, then add your line art and details.

Basically, if your one of those TLDR people, "practice makes perfect" is the idea in this case, weather your tracing, or finding basic shapes, the more you practice at this the easier it will get.

Getting better at value can also be done by adding both lighting and shading to the art, as well as small details such as fur direction or clothing wrinkles.

Hope this helps :P

Have a nice day, you wonderful being! <3

american director richard schechner was deeply influenced by polish director , who staged his work in association with the polish laboratory theatre.

Answers

The Polish director Jerzy Grotowski, who performed his work in collaboration with the Polish Laboratory Theatre, had a significant impact on American director Richard Schechner.

Jerzy Grotowski: who was he?

The avant-garde acting training, staging, and performance techniques developed by Polish theatrical director and theorist Jerzy Marian Grotowski have had a significant influence on theater today. The key influences were Meyerhold, Stanislavsky, and Brecht. With the help of "paratheatre," Grotowski tested out performers in training programs and other unstaged productions. Grotowski felt the alleged "physiological resonators." He told the actors to use their necks, backs, and arms to project their voices. Then, to raise their voices, he told everyone to choose a text and play, sing, and shout it (Richards, 1995). Jerzy Grotowski, a Polish director, defines "poor theater" as the kind of performance that emphasizes the actor's body and their interaction with the audience while eschewing costumes, props, and music. Extracts from a performance of the play Evangile are interspersed throughout the interview.

Evaluate to what extent the government have or currently supporting communities affected by human right violation

Answers

The extent to which governments support communities affected by human rights violations varies greatly depending on the country and its specific policies.

In some cases, governments may provide financial compensation or other forms of assistance to those impacted by violations. However, in other cases, governments may be complicit in perpetuating or even directly responsible for human rights violations. It is important to note that while governments have a responsibility to protect the rights of their citizens, they may not always fulfill this duty. It is therefore crucial that civil society organizations, international bodies, and other stakeholders work to hold governments accountable for their actions and advocate for the rights of affected communities. Ultimately, the success of efforts to address human rights violations and support affected communities will depend on the collective action of all those who are committed to upholding these fundamental principles.

In the song "Rain on the Scarecrow" by John Mellencamp, he decries the loss of the family farm. Over the last 100 years, the percentage of the population engaged in farming has declined from over one-third to less than 3 percent. Why do you think this has occurred, and what impact has this had on the overall well-being of Americans? What is the role of bankruptcy in a market economy? If banks do not foreclose on bankrupt farmers, why might this be bad for farmers in general?

Answers

The decline in farming has had a significant impact on the overall well-being of Americans. Bankruptcy, in a market economy, serves as a mechanism to address financial distress and provide a fresh start for individuals and businesses.

The decrease in the number of people involved in farming can be attributed to several factors. Technological advancements and mechanization have allowed for increased productivity with fewer workers, leading to a reduced demand for farm labor. Additionally, the growth of other industries, such as manufacturing and services, has provided alternative employment opportunities, pulling people away from farming. The shift towards urbanization and changing societal values have also played a role in diminishing the appeal of agricultural work.

The decline in farming has had a significant impact on the overall well-being of Americans. While it has contributed to economic growth and the diversification of the labor force, it has also resulted in challenges for rural communities. Many farmers have faced financial difficulties due to declining profitability, increasing competition, and external factors like weather conditions and trade policies. This has led to a higher rate of bankruptcies among farmers.

Bankruptcy, in a market economy, serves as a mechanism to address financial distress and provide a fresh start for individuals and businesses. However, when banks do not foreclose on bankrupt farmers, it may create a moral hazard. If farmers know that they won't lose their land even if they declare bankruptcy, they might take excessive risks or fail to make necessary adjustments to improve their financial situation. This can lead to inefficiencies in the agricultural sector and hinder the overall productivity and sustainability of farming.
