Later in the same scene the text states Cole wanted revenge(chapter 3 page 20) while expressing his emotions which tells the readers that he knows what he did was wrong and deep down he wants to do better and change. In another scene of the book the text states Cole decides to make his favorite dinner for everyone (chapter 26 pg 119). This shows that he has changed and become loyal. He shows that he cares about others and wants to have joy in his life, he worked hard and showed that he respected others. Another way that shows Cole's improvements is when he hugs his mom.(chapter 15 page 75) He is showing her that he cares and that he has changed into a better person.
