Answer:
There are pieces of artwork drifting through galleries around the world that have become nearly synonymous with the artists name and techniques. The various paintings of Sunflowers and Vincent van Gogh are a perfect example of this. Not only can one make a mental connection between the artists name and painting but also between the artist and their influence on the development of art through these paintings. Vincent van Gogh's Sunflower paintings have been duplicated many times by various artists (although never reaching the vivacity and intensity of Van Gogh's) and displayed everywhere; from households to art expos.
Upon looking at these paintings one begins to notice aspects that seem to flow from one piece to another. The colors are vibrant and express emotions typically associated with the life of sunflowers: bright yellows of the full bloom to arid Vase with Fifteen Sunflowers browns of wilting and death; all of the stages woven through these polar opposites are presented. Perhaps this very technique is what draws one into the painting; the fulfillment of seeing all angles of the spectrum of life and in turn reaching a deeper understanding of how all living things are tied together.

There are many pieces within this series of paintings (each is clearly identifiable as a Van Gogh work) in which there are only minor differences that separate them. The overall layout of the painting along with positioning of the actual sunflowers usually remains the same in the similar paintings. Below you can see highlighted areas of difference between two similar sunflower paintings.
Next you can see two sunflower paintings of the series under the same title; however, these two pieces have some minor differences.

1. There are differences in petal structure on a few of the flowers. Located in bubble number one you can see how the second piece has more petal "bulk" and does not follow the sweeping "V" motion as is seen in the first piece.
2. The center "eye" of the flower contains different colors. In the first example the center is filled with a greenish yellow, while in the second piece the center is filled with black.
3. This is also the case for bubble number three. The leafy structure is yellow in the first piece and resides as light brown in the second piece.
4. The leaf located in bubble number four is nearly identical in both pieces; however in the first piece it is overlapped by the large drooping flower and is green in color. In the second piece there is a small but clear gap between the drooping flower and the leaf, and the leaf is black in color.

"These series of paintings were made possible by the innovations in manufactured pigments in the 19th Century. Without the vibrancy of the new colors, such as chrome yellow, Van Gogh may never have achieved the intensity of Sunflowers."
Although Van Gogh's sunflower paintings are very similar in many aspects, each stands out as its own unique work of art. Van Gogh began painting sunflowers after he left Holland for France in pursuit of creating an artistic community. The firsts were created to decorate his friend Paul Gauguin's bedroom. The majority of Van Gogh's sunflowers in vases were created in Arles, France during 1888-1889. Van Gogh did create some sunflower paintings prior to this time though in Paris, France around the time of 1887. This series consists of sunflower clippings verses sunflowers in vases.
According to BBC.co.uk:
Regardless, Van Gogh's paintings of sunflowers have altered mankind's perspective of art and life. These paintings captivate the mind and leave you astounded in their simplistic beauty. The flowing wilted steams and the burst of lovely yellow draws ones attention around the painting, without disrupting the balance of the piece. These paintings are often duplicated but never reach the pure power of Van Gogh's.

Tt is not correct to say that NAL was the first mass market publisher to issue books sympathetic to Native Americans or an early publisher of children's books. Also, NAL was not the first American publisher to develop electronic books.
The New American Library (NAL) was founded in 1948 by Kurt Enoch. It is an American publisher that has been around for more than 60 years. The company is known for its fiction and nonfiction books. In the 1960s, NAL became the first mass-market publisher to produce books by African Americans. They produced books such as Malcolm X's autobiography and Richard Wright's novel Native Son. They were also the first mass-market publisher to issue serious books on black history, racism, and social justice.
The company had a vision for popularizing serious books that were previously only available to an elite group of readers. They wanted to make quality literature accessible to everyone. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, NAL was a leader in the paperback revolution that changed the publishing industry.

For example, rambling sentences are usually run-on sentences as well. The most important clue we have to find issues is the misuse of punctuation in the sentences.
In a run-on sentence, we normally do not have a comma where it should be. In a comma splice, we only have a comma where we should also have a conjunction. A fragment is simply an incomplete sentence, ended by a period where we needed more information.
A wordy sentence uses too many words to explain the same thing. A rambling sentence goes on and on about a certain topic. Finally, a misplaced modifier appears at the wrong place in the sentence.
Please, feel free to change the answers given above if you believe the issue in each sentence to be another. As we said, some of them are quite common to appear together.

based on your understanding of reflective essays, write a two- or three- paragraph reflective essay about an important incident in your life
One of the most significant incidents in my life occurred during my senior year of high school when I decided to audition for the school play. Up until that point, I had always been a shy and reserved individual, preferring to stay behind the scenes rather than stepping into the spotlight.
However, something inside me pushed me to take a leap of faith and challenge myself. The audition process was nerve-wracking, and self-doubt crept in constantly.
But as I stood on that stage, delivering my lines, I felt an incredible sense of empowerment. It was as if a new version of myself had emerged—a version that was confident, expressive, and unafraid of taking risks.
Through this experience, I learned the importance of pushing beyond my comfort zone and discovered the transformative power of embracing new challenges.
This incident had a profound impact on my personal growth and development. It taught me that I am capable of overcoming my own limitations and that my self-perception can be shaped by stepping into unfamiliar territory.
The experience of performing in the play also helped me build valuable skills such as public speaking, teamwork, and adaptability. Moreover, it sparked a newfound passion for the arts within me, leading me to explore other creative endeavors and ultimately shaping my career path.
Looking back on that important incident, I am grateful for the courage I mustered to step onto that stage. It was a defining moment that pushed me to break free from my self-imposed boundaries and embark on a journey of self-discovery.
It serves as a constant reminder that embracing challenges and taking risks can lead to personal growth, self-confidence, and a world of possibilities.

What reference material can show that robots also need to rest?
Need help please
Answer:
The present paper exposes algorithmic results providing a vision about sleep functions which complements biological theory and experiments. Derived from the algorithmic theory of information, the theory of adaptation aims at quantifying how an inherited or acquired piece of knowledge helps individuals to survive. It gives a scale of complexity for survival problems and proves that some of them can only be solved by dynamical management of memory associating continuous learning and forgetting methods. In this paper, we explain how a virtual robot "Picota" has been designed to simulate the behavior of a living hen. In order to survive in its synthetical environment, our robot must recognize good seeds from bad ones and should take rest during night periods. Within this frame, and facing the rapid evolution of to-be-recognized forms, the best way to equilibrate the energetic needs of the robot and ensure survival is to use the nightly rest to reorganize the pieces of data acquired during the daily learning, and to trash the less useful ones. Thanks to this time-sharing, the same circuits can be used for both daily learning and nightly forgetting, and thus costs are lower; however, this also forces the system to "paralyze" the virtual robot, and therefore the night algorithm is reminiscent of paradoxical (REM) sleep. The algorithm of the robot takes advantage of the alternation between wakefulness or activity and the rest period. This diagram quite accurately recalls the REM period. In the future, the convergence between the neurophysiology of sleep and the theory of complexity may give us a new line of research in order to elucidate sleep functions.
