T/F: After Jesus' resurrection, Jewish Christians began to no longer emphasize Sabbath worship services (Friday night opening and Saturday night closure) and instead focused on Sunday worship.
The given statement is "After Jesus' resurrection, Jewish Christians began to no longer emphasize Sabbath worship services (Friday night opening and Saturday night closure) and instead focused on Sunday worship" is True ( because after Jesus' resurrection, Jewish Christians began to no longer emphasize Sabbath worship services (Friday night opening and Saturday night closure) and instead focused on Sunday worship).
This shift in worship practices was due to the belief that Jesus rose from the dead on a Sunday, and it became known as the Lord's Day. This new day of worship, which was already being observed by some non-Jewish Christian communities, became the primary day of worship for Jewish Christians as well.
The book of Acts describes how the apostles met on the first day of the week to break bread (Acts 20:7), and Paul also refers to the collection of offerings being taken on the first day of the week (1 Corinthians 16:2). This shift in worship practices marked a significant change for Jewish Christians, who had previously observed the Sabbath as a holy day of rest and worship.

Please only answer if you know it. I will give brainliest too
Answer:
The title of the story suggests that fear is a feeling that is very much portrayed in the work and that it has a strong relevance as the script unfolds.
Explanation:
"Valley of Fear" is a murder story. This is a detective novel written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, where detective Sherlock Holmes must analyze the mysterious murder of a man, in addition to the place where it occurred, the people and possible other victims.
Within this narrative, fear is an important element, justifying the novel's title. This is because a murder situation causes terror in people close to the victim, in addition to causing fear in the region's residents.
In this story, fear has a physical and psychological influence. Its physical influence is related to the place where the history passes, the Vermissa Valley, which is a dark and diabolical place.
Fear takes psychological proportions from Douglas' emotional state, which in the middle of a dangerous atmosphere finds himself trapped inside the valley, with no possibility of escaping and allowing him to be an easy victim.

Oedipus the King
1. What role does Teiresias play in this excerpt? How does this role shape a central idea?
2. Sophocles chose to recall events of Laius's death rather than portray them. What is the effect of this structural decision?
The arrival of Teiresias strengthens the fundamental idea of the conflict that has been created between the power held by gods and the power held by mortals because Teiresias appears to occupy a transitional position.
What results from this structural choice?Sophocles assigns Oedipus' persona responsibility for the circumstances leading up to Laius' "death" in his account of those events. This is due to the fact that Oedipus can't shake the remorse he feels for killing his father thanks to his recollection. Because his own thoughts prove he is the murderer, he is therefore powerless to refute what he done. As a result of his thoughts constantly returning to that memory and preventing him from absolving himself of guilt, Sophocles permits Oedipus to descend into self-torture, leading him to seek out his own punishment.
In which part of Oedipus the King does Tiresias appear?Tiresias as the Ignorant Prophet-
In Oedipus Rex, Tiresias, the blind prophet, is the one who informs Oedipus of the truth of his earlier deeds (the murder of Laius) and foretells his future (blindness and banishment).

"However mean your life is, meet it and live is; do not shun it and call it hard names. It is not so bad as you are. It looks poorest when you are richest. The faultfinder will find faults even in paradise. Love your life poor as it is."
This quote emphasizes the importance of embracing and accepting one's life, no matter the circumstances. This quote is from Walden written by Henry David Thoreau. The key points from the quote can be explained as follows:
1. "However mean your life is, meet it and live it": This part of the quote suggests that regardless of how difficult or challenging your life may seem, you should face it head-on and make the most of it.
2. "Do not shun it and call it hard names": This encourages us not to run away from the challenges we face or to belittle our life by calling it names or focusing on its negative aspects.
3. "It is not so bad as you are": This implies that our life's circumstances may not be as terrible as we perceive them to be, and it is our attitude that can make a significant difference.
4. "It looks poorest when you are richest": This statement highlights the idea that when we feel the most fortunate or privileged, we tend to overlook the positive aspects of our lives and focus on what we lack.
5. "The faultfinder will find faults even in paradise": This suggests that if one is constantly seeking flaws or issues, they will be able to find them even in the most ideal or perfect circumstances.
6. "Love your life, poor as it is": The final point urges us to appreciate and love our lives, no matter how challenging or difficult they may seem.
In summary, this quote encourages us to adopt a positive attitude towards our lives, face our challenges head-on, and appreciate the aspects that make it uniquely ours.

"The Story of an Hour" has been criticized for having a rigged ending with a cheap trick. Do you agree or disagree and why? How does this ending illuminate Mrs. Mallard's feelings about her husband?
Answer and Explanation:
"The Story of an Hour" is a short story by author Kate Chopin. The main character, Mrs. Mallard, is told that her husband has died in a train accident. Instead of grieving, she realizes she is now a free woman. However, in the end, her husband turns out to be alive. Upon seeing him, Mrs. Mallard dies of the shock due to a heart condition she has.
Let's tackle each question separately.
"The Story of an Hour" has been criticized for having a rigged ending with a cheap trick. Do you agree or disagree and why?
I disagree. I do not see the ending as rigged at all. Chopin used a very common technique in this story - foreshadowing. Mrs. Mallard's heart condition - and the fatality of such condition - is revealed and quite emphasized at the very beginning of the plot. A careful, mindful reader will have no problems recognizing this as an important detail for the rest of the story.
How does this ending illuminate Mrs. Mallard's feelings about her husband?
Her dying upon seeing him means her disappointment was too great to bear. It is not that she did not love him, but she had finally realized she loved herself and her freedom more. Having him back meant she was going to lose her newly-discovered identity, her brand new passion for living.

You are running for Student Council President, and you know you have what it takes . Write one of your arguments to convince the student body to vote for you using ethos, pathos or logos.
Ethos, pathos, and logos are three strategies that are typically employed when seeking to persuade a reader.
Pathos, Logos, and Ethos: What Are They?Pathos, also referred to as the appeal to emotion, is a literary technique for persuading readers by purposefully evoking certain emotions in them in order to elicit the desired emotional reaction. Authors use emotive examples and storylines, as well as language that is carefully chosen and meaningful. Authors may aspire to a range of feelings, including empathy, fury, frustration, or even laughter.
Using logos, often known as the appeal to logic, involves appealing to the audience's sense of reason or logic. The author uses logos by using facts and numbers as well as by drawing obvious, logical connections between themes. A logical argument can also be constructed by using literal and historical comparisons. There shouldn't be any logical fallacies, confusing or false assumptions, or other problems.
The author's authority and credibility are communicated through ethos. The reader must be aware of the author's credentials while evaluating a piece of writing. By citing reliable sources, using appropriate language, showing that they have fairly examined the issue (by taking into account the opposing viewpoint), introducing their own professional, academic, or authorial credentials, introducing their own personal experience with the issue, and using proper grammar and syntax, the writer can convey their authority.
