how was the founding of the newengland colonies fundementally different from the founding of the virginia and the caralina colonies
Answer:
How did the New England colonies differ from the Virginia colony? While New England was a land of towns and villages surrounded by small farms, Virginia and Maryland were characterized by large plantations and little urban development. The emphasis on indentured labor meant that relatively few women settled in the Chesapeake colonies.
The founding of the New England colonies was fundamentally different from the founding of the Virginia and Carolina colonies in several ways. New England colonies, such as Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire, were primarily established for religious reasons.
Many settlers, like the Puritans and Pilgrims, sought religious freedom and wanted to create communities based on their religious beliefs. In contrast, the Virginia and Carolina colonies, including Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, were established mainly for economic purposes. Settlers in these colonies sought to exploit the region's natural resources, such as tobacco and other cash crops, and to profit from trade. Additionally, the social structure and political organization in the New England colonies were more egalitarian, emphasizing community involvement and town meetings, while the Virginia and Carolina colonies had a more hierarchical structure with large plantations and a plantation-owning elite dominating society and politics.

If i was in another century, Such as the 18th century, i would probably be living in a noisy and dirty city unless i was part of the rich. Only a tiny minority of the population, lived luxuriously in lavish, elegant mansions and country houses, which they furnished with comfortable, upholstered furniture. Their calendars included dinner parties, opera, and the theater. But for the non-rich, their cities were very over-crowded and there wouldn't be much homes to live in due to the over-crowding people that would live in the cities.
If i were to live in the 12th century, i would probably wear tunics shorts and a cloak. The 12th century was the Medievel times, so i would probably live in a Medievel-styled cottage. Most medieval homes were cold, damp, and dark. Sometimes it was warmer and lighter outside the home than within its walls. Those styled homes were very small, so not alot of people could live in them, unless it were to be crowded.

Which of the following was NOT a successful trade route to Asia from Europe?
Answer:
The Silk Road
Explanation:
The unsuccessful trade route to Asia from Europe was the northern route. This route was unsuccessful because it was extremely difficult to traverse due to its harsh and cold climate, and because the European traders were unable to establish good trade relations with the local populations.
The northern route was an attempt by European traders to find a new route to Asia, which would bypass the Middle East and the Mediterranean Sea, which were dominated by the powerful Ottoman Empire. The route began in Russia and passed through the Arctic, then through the Bering Strait, and then down the western coast of North America. The journey was incredibly difficult and dangerous due to the harsh climate and the lack of resources, and the traders were often forced to abandon their ships and attempt to traverse the icy wastes on foot. Additionally, the local populations, such as the Inuit, were not particularly friendly to the Europeans, and the traders were unable to establish meaningful trade relations with them.
The northern route was ultimately unsuccessful, and it was eventually abandoned as the traders returned to the more successful southern route which passed through the Middle East and the Mediterranean Sea. This route was much more successful as the traders were able to establish better relations with the Middle Eastern and Mediterranean populations, and the climate was much more hospitable and easier to traverse.
In conclusion, the northern route to Asia from Europe was a failed attempt due to its difficult and dangerous journey, and the lack of good trade relations with the local populations. The traders eventually returned to the more successful southern route, which allowed them to establish better trade relations and traverse a much more hospitable climate.

Why did General Howe order the British to stop attacking in the New
York battle?
In the fall of 1776, Howe had been planning an amphibious assault on New York City, using forces from both his army and the Royal Navy. However, bad weather and poor coordination between the army and navy hampered Howe's efforts, and the British were forced to cancel their attack.
There are several reasons why Howe may have ordered the British to stop attacking at the New York battle. One reason is that Howe was under strict orders from his superiors not to risk his army in a major engagement with the Americans. Howe was also aware that the Americans were well-prepared for an attack and had fortified their positions. Additionally, Howe may have been concerned about the possibility of losing the support of the Loyalists if he continued his offensive.
Howe's decision to cancel the attack on New York was undoubtedly a disappointment to the British troops, who had been looking forward to a victory. However, Howe's decision was likely a wise one, as it prevented the British from suffering a major defeat that could have had disastrous consequences.

Which of the following statements concerning Japanese industrialization prior to World War I is correct?
A) Japan's workforce was among the highest paid in the world.
B) Abundant natural resources made Japan virtually self-sufficient as an industrialized nation.
C) By 1914, Japan had reached the level of industrialization found in the West.
D) Japan needed exports to pay for machine and resource imports.
The correct statement concerning Japanese industrialization prior to World War I is D) Japan needed exports to pay for machine and resource imports.
Japan's industrialization during this period was driven by the need to acquire resources and machinery from other countries. While Japan made significant strides in industrial development, it had not yet reached the level of industrialization found in the West by 1914. Abundant natural resources were not a major factor in Japan's industrialization, and Japan's workforce was not among the highest paid in the world. During the period leading up to World War I, Japan experienced significant industrialization and modernization. However, it is important to note that Japan had not reached the level of industrialization found in the Western countries by 1914. While Japan made remarkable progress, it still had a considerable gap to bridge in terms of technological advancements and industrial output.
One of the key factors driving Japan's industrialization was the need for exports to fund the import of machinery and resources. Japan lacked certain crucial resources domestically and had to rely on imports to sustain its industrial growth. This reliance on imports created a necessity to expand exports in order to generate the needed foreign exchange to cover the cost of imported machinery and resources. While Japan did have some natural resources, they were not abundant enough to make Japan self-sufficient as an industrialized nation. Japan's industrial development heavily depended on securing resources from other countries, particularly raw materials like coal and iron ore.
Additionally, while Japanese workers were industrious and skilled, Japan's workforce was not among the highest paid in the world. Industrial wages in Japan were relatively lower compared to Western countries during that time. In summary, Japan's industrialization prior to World War I relied on exports to finance imports of machinery and resources, abundant natural resources were not a defining factor, and Japan had not yet achieved the same level of industrialization as the Western countries.
