Explain in your own words how did Saddam Hussein the leader of Iraq at the time treated those who were not Sunni.

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

Explanation:

was an Iraqi politician who served as the fifth President of Iraq from 16 July 1979 until 9 April 2003.[8] A leading member of the revolutionary Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party, and later, the Baghdad-based Ba'ath Party and its regional organization, the Iraqi Ba'ath Party—which espoused Ba'athism, a mix of Arab nationalism and socialism—Saddam played a key role in the 1968 coup (later referred to as the 17 July Revolution) that brought the party to power in Iraq.

As vice president under the ailing General Ahmed Hassan al-Bakr, and at a time when many groups were considered capable of overthrowing the government, Saddam created security forces through which he tightly controlled conflicts between the government and the armed forces. In the early 1970s, Saddam nationalized oil and foreign banks leaving the system eventually insolvent mostly due to the Iran–Iraq War, the Gulf War, and UN sanctions.[9] Through the 1970s, Saddam cemented his authority over the apparatus of government as oil money helped Iraq's economy grow at a rapid pace. Positions of power in the country were mostly filled with Sunni Arabs, a minority that made up only a fifth of the population.[10]

Saddam formally rose to power in 1979, although he had already been the de facto head of Iraq for several years. He suppressed several movements, particularly Shi'a and Kurdish movements which sought to overthrow the government or gain independence, respectively,[11] and maintained power during the Iran–Iraq War and the Gulf War. Hussein's rule was a repressive dictatorship.[12] The total number of Iraqis killed by the security services of Saddam's government in various purges and genocides is conservatively estimated to be 250,000.[13] Saddam's invasions of Iran and Kuwait also resulted in hundreds of thousands of deaths.

In 2003, a coalition led by the United States invaded Iraq to depose Saddam, in which U.S. President George W. Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair erroneously accused him of possessing weapons of mass destruction and having ties to al-Qaeda.[14] Saddam's Ba'ath party was disbanded and the country's first ever set of democratic elections were held. Following his capture on 13 December 2003, the trial of Saddam took place under the Iraqi Interim Government. On 5 November 2006, Saddam was convicted by an Iraqi court of crimes against humanity related to the 1982 killing of 148 Iraqi Shi'a and sentenced to death by hanging. He was executed on 30 December 2006

Find/Write down 2 ways to get mSNP. Due in 24 hours. Make it understandable and correct 10 points!

Answers

Note that the angle m∠SNP = (x +10)° = 66°

What is the rationale for the above response?

Note that the ∠MNR = ∠SNP and ∠MNP = ∠RNS

Note also that ∠MNR + ∠SNP + ∠MNP +∠RNS = 360°

This means:
2(x+10) + 2(2x+2) = 360°

a) To solve for x in the equation 2(x+10) + 2(2x+2) = 360, we can start by simplifying the left side of the equation:

2(x+10) + 2(2x+2) = 360

2x + 20 + 4x + 4 = 360

6x + 24 = 360

Next, we can isolate the variable by subtracting 24 from both sides:

6x + 24 - 24 = 360 - 24

6x = 336

Finally, we can solve for x by dividing both sides by 6:

6x/6 = 336/6

x = 56

Therefore, x is equal to 56.

b) To solve for (x + 10) in the equation 2(x+10) + 2(2x+2) = 360, we can use the value we found for x in part (a):

x = 56

Substituting this value into the expression (x + 10), we get:

(x + 10) = 56 + 10 = 66

Therefore, (x + 10) is equal to 66.

To find the measure of angle SNP, there are a few possible methods depending on the information available. Here are two methods:

Method 1: Using Vertical Angles

If another angle in the diagram is given to be congruent to angle SNP, then the measure of SNP can be determined using the property of vertical angles. Vertical angles are pairs of angles formed by two intersecting lines, and they have equal measure. Therefore, if a congruent angle is present in the diagram, its measure can be used to determine the measure of SNP.
Method 2: Using Triangle Sum Theorem

If the entire triangle SNP is given, then the measure of SNP can be found using the Triangle Sum Theorem. The Triangle Sum Theorem states that the sum of the measures of the angles in a triangle is always 180 degrees. Therefore, if the measures of the other two angles in triangle SNP are known, the measure of SNP can be found by subtracting the sum of those angles from 180 degrees. For example, if angle PNS has a measure of 50 degrees and angle PSN has a measure of 70 degrees, then the measure of SNP can be found by subtracting 50 degrees and 70 degrees from 180 degrees:
m∠SNP = 180 degrees - (50 degrees + 70 degrees) = 60 degrees.

What is meant by a Chemical bond?

A chemical bond may be defined as a type of attraction that is significantly present between atoms, ions, or molecules that authorizes the formation of chemical compounds. In a more simple sense, it may be characterized as a process through which different atoms in a molecule are held together.

Calcium chloride is an ionic compound because the calcium atom transfers electrons to chlorine atoms, leading to the formation of chemical bonds. Whereas the attraction between copper and pennies illustrates a metallic bond because copper atoms in pennies share many electrons.

While the atoms of HCl share electrons in order to break down food in the stomach. So, this reveals an example of a covalent bond.

When reviewing a peer's report, the first thing you should comment on is something positive or constructive about the report. This could be something that the peer did well or a specific aspect of the report that you found helpful or informative. Starting with positive feedback can help establish a supportive and collaborative tone for the rest of the review, and it can also help the peer feel more comfortable receiving criticism or suggestions for improvement later on in the review process.

Though this varies with school curriculum and other factors so the answer isn’t clear to date or a fact
