Motion and wind current is correlated. They act as regulator in ocean current. Ocean water in constantly moving in the form of waves and tides. They are positive mechanisms.
Some ocean currents move along the water's surface, while others move submerged. Wind current, which drags on the water's surface as it blows, is causes the major surface ocean currents. Starting off, the water moves in the same direction as the wind. Ocean water bodies frequently move vertically and horizontally. Ocean currents and waves are responsible for the horizontal motion. The vertical motion is a tide reference.
Consider this: Just above the equator, trade winds, which are dependable winds in the Northern Hemisphere, blow from east to west. Currents are caused by the winds pulling surface water along with them. The carioles' effect a force that results from the rotation of the earth defects them as these currents go westward.

Given the effects of precession, will this still be the case in 13,000 years? Explain your answer. Draw a diagram to illustrate this process.
Answer:
It change the longitude of stars.
Explanation:
Precession allows the stars to change slightly their longitude each year, so the sidereal year which is the orbital period of the earth around the sun, that takes the stars as a reference frame. It is 20 minutes longer than the solar year because of precession. This motion of the Earth's axis goes backward and forward in every 13,000 years so we can conclude that there is a great effect of precession on our earth's motion.

A beekeeper observes the growth of a bee population in a beehive. the beekeeper finds that the initial population of 125 bees doubles each week. which equation can be used to find the number of weeks, w, it takes for the number of bees in the beehive to reach 2,500?
150*2y
Let's start by creating the beginning of the data sample, knowing the population of bees triples each year.
Year 0 = 150
Year 1 = 450
Year 2 = 1350
Year 3 = 4050
Year 4 = 12150
If we look at the numbers, we see they are all divided by 125:
For Year 0 = 150 / 150 = 1
For Year 1 = 450 / 125 = 3
For Year 2 = 1350 / 125 = 9
For Year 3 = 4050 / 125 = 27
For Year 4 = 12150 / 125 = 81
We then see the result of the division by 150 is in fact the table of multiplication by 3.
So, by inverting the operation, we can see the number of bees (x) for any given year starting from now is 150 times 3 at the power of the year (y).

what is created when a river carries sediment along on its way to the ocean?
Deltas is created when a river carries sediment along on its way to the ocean.
WHAT IS DELTADELTARiver deltas or estuaries are deposits in estuaries that are formed when river water meets other waters that have a weak or stagnant current rate. The low-speed water flow is unable to carry sediment from the river so that the sediment settles in the estuary. Deltas generally form in the open ocean, beach, or lake.
The size and shape of the delta depends on the processes that occur in the sediment-carrying waters and sediment-receiving waters. In addition, the size, shape, and location of the sediment-receiving waters also affect the evolution of the delta.
River deltas play an important role in human civilization because the location of the delta is the center of agricultural production and settlements. What keeps fiddler falling from the roof?
Answer:
Being a fiddler on the roof is no doubt a precarious role. Every time I see the movie or attend a theater adaptation of Shalom Aleichem’s Tevye the Dairyman, I wonder what if the Fiddler falls? This eternal question is part of what draws me to the Fiddler’s character. He is an enigma; his music is mysterious – both distant and close. The Fiddler always leaves me wanting more.
I recently attended the current Broadway revival that will apparently close December 31, 2016. The production was as meaningful and enjoyable as each of my previous encounters with the story, albeit with some subtle and less than discreet changes. The title character began perched on a roof and at another point was hoisted through the air — something I do not recall from prior adaptations. There’s also the framing of Tevye, dressed in a red parka without a head covering at the beginning and end of the play. This aspect received a fair amount of attention in 2015 when the play opened. Spoiler alert: The curtain opens with Tevye dressed in a modern red parka, which hides his small prayer shawl (tzitzit). His head is uncovered and, at the conclusion of the play, he joins those leaving Anatevka again wearing the red coat and without any head covering. At the time, reviewers offered this was a nod to contemporary times.
This is where I would go a little deeper. Tevye, no doubt a little different in the current Broadway revival, has a difficult relationship with God. Just as he changes, so too, has the Fiddler’s character undergone a transformation. Once upon a time, there was a delightful scene in which Tevye and the fiddler appear dancing opposite one another, getting closer and closer. The Fiddler’s steps, intentionally mirroring Tevye’s, draw closer in a front of flirtation that one hopes they might touch or exchange words. Yet, their intimacy is beyond consummation. The interchange, or lack there of in the current production, shows how far the Fiddler (dare I say God?) is out of Tevye’s reach. What has changed in the courtship between these two main characters? The scene that I just described, which is not in the current play, is just as meaningful and relevant today. There are many today for whom their faith is as ripe as their frustration.
Maybe Tevye’s character is different. He is portraying, or at the very least shuffling toward an audience that is struggling with many aspects of Jewish identity. The dancing, the shaking, and Tevye’s throwing his hands into the air in despair and love remains as pervasive as the distance between Tevye and God. Tevye wants God, even if only for a single moment, to pay him one simple measure of attention. That Tevye does not appear to achieve his goal is as painful as ever, especially as his anger and frustration grows as he gradually loses control of his family. Note: Tevye blessed (albeit reluctantly, the engagement of his two eldest daughters as was his jurisdiction. In a moment over which he has no control – his third daughter proclaims her love to a man outside of the Jewish faith – Tevye tries to exercise more power by disavowing her.
As Tevye appears to be losing his grip on his family and faith, he finally embraces the reality of Anatevka. When he seems to be done fighting and struggling, he faces a moment of rest and resolution placing his hand on the shoulder of the person in front of him. The shoulder of none other than the Fiddler on the roof who has descended and joined the villagers. Appearing like every other member of Anatevka, the Fiddler is no longer distant and diametrically opposite to Tevye. He is real and he is touchable.Explanation:

Explanation:
The economy of the United States is a highly developed free-market economy.[36] It is the world's largest economy by nominal GDP
Prior to the initiation of economic reforms and trade liberalization nearly 40 years ago, China maintained policies that kept the economy very poor, stagnant, centrally controlled, vastly inefficient, and relatively isolated from the global economy. Since opening up to foreign trade and investment and implementing free-market reforms in 1979, China has been among the world’s fastest-growing economies, with real annual gross domestic product (GDP) growth averaging 9.5% through 2018, a pace described by the World Bank as “the fastest sustained expansion by a major economy in history.” Such growth has enabled China, on average, to double its GDP every eight years and helped raise an estimated 800 million people out of poverty. China has become the world’s largest economy (on a purchasing power parity basis), manufacturer, merchandise trader, and holder of foreign exchange reserves. This in turn has made China a major commercial partner of the United States. China is the largest U.S. merchandise trading partner, biggest source of imports, and third-largest U.S. export market. China is also the largest foreign holder of U.S. Treasury securities, which help fund the federal debt and keep U.S. interest rates low.
As China’s economy has matured, its real GDP growth has slowed significantly,
Put the events in order (from top to bottom) that describe the eruption of Mount St. Helens in May 1980
1. an earthquake occurred
2.an avalanche released pressure in the magma chamber
3.the volcano erupted in a lateral blast
4.a pyroclastic flow swept down the mountain
5.a column of ash rose 25km into the air
On May 18, 1980, an earthquake occurred triggering an avalanche that released pressure in the magma chamber. This led to a massive eruption of Mount St. Helens in a lateral blast, which was the most powerful volcanic explosion in the history of the United States. The eruption of Mount St. Helens in May 1980 can be described in the following order:
1. An earthquake occurred: The event began with a magnitude 5.1 earthquake on May 18, 1980, which weakened the north face of the volcano.
2. An avalanche released pressure in the magma chamber: The earthquake triggered a massive landslide and avalanche, causing the removal of a significant portion of the mountain's north face. This, in turn, led to a decrease in pressure within the magma chamber.
3. The volcano erupted in a lateral blast: As the pressure decreased, the volcano erupted in a massive lateral blast, sending a powerful shockwave of hot gases, steam, and rock debris outwards at speeds of up to 300 miles per hour.
4. A pyroclastic flow swept down the mountain: The blast also produced a pyroclastic flow, a dense and fast-moving mixture of hot volcanic gas, ash, and rock fragments. This flow traveled down the mountain and devastated the surrounding landscape.
5. A column of ash rose 25km into the air: Following the lateral blast and pyroclastic flow, a massive column of ash rose approximately 25 kilometers (15.5 miles) into the atmosphere, spreading ash across the Pacific Northwest and causing significant disruption to air travel and local communities.

Describe and compare the three types of scales used by scientists to measure and describe earthquakes.
the three types of scales used by scientists to measure and describe earthquakes are:
Richter scaleMercalli scaleMoment magnitude scaleRichter scale: Dr. Charles Richter, a seismologist at the California Institute of Technology, created the Richter scale in the 1930s. The amplitude of the greatest seismic wave observed during the earthquake is used to compute the earthquake's Richter magnitude.
Since the Richter scale is a base-10 logarithmic scale, there is no upper or lower limit to the size of an earthquake that can be measured by it. On the Richter scale, 1 represents the smallest earthquake and 10 represents the greatest.
The Richter scale is logarithmic, thus an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 will generate shaking 10 times more than one with a magnitude of 4.0.
Mercalli scale: By calculating the impacts of an earthquake on the Earth's surface, the Mercalli scale determines the magnitude of an earthquake.
The Mercalli scale ranks earthquakes on a scale of 1 to 12, with 1 meaning that nothing was felt and 12 denoting complete damage, based on human reactions, natural objects, and man-made buildings.
The Mercalli scale, developed in 1902 by Giuseppe Mercalli, isn't regarded as being as accurate as the Richter scale. This is due to the Mercalli scale's reliance on eyewitness reports, which prevents it from defining the quake's force according to strict and impartial standards as the Richter scale does.
Moment magnitude scale: The Richter scale was replaced in 1979 by the moment magnitude scale.
The moment of the earthquake, which is equal to the stiffness of the Earth times the typical amount of slip on the fault and the size of the region that slipped, serves as the basis for the moment magnitude scale, which compares the energy released by earthquakes.
The U.S. Geological Survey estimates the magnitudes of all contemporary big earthquakes using the moment magnitude scale because it is more precise than the Richter scale in measuring large earthquakes.

asia has an intense monsoon, but north america also experiences a low-intensity monsoon. what causes monsoons? group of answer choices heating of the polar regions in summer due to long days causes air to flow toward the poles in summer, drawing moisture from warm ocean dominated air masses. the heating of the continent during the summer produces a persistent low pressure over the continent that draws warm moist air masses from adjacent oceans.
Monsoons are caused by the differential heating of land and water, which leads to the development of areas of low pressure over land in the summer, drawing in moist air from adjacent oceans.
The intense monsoon in Asia and the low-intensity monsoon in North America are both caused by the same mechanism - the differential heating of land and water. During the summer, the land heats up more quickly than the adjacent oceans, creating a region of low pressure over the landmass. This draws in moist air from the adjacent oceans, which results in heavy rainfall over the land.
In Asia, the monsoon is particularly intense because of the large landmass and the presence of high mountains, which further enhance the heating and moisture transport. In North America, the monsoon is less intense due to the smaller landmass and the absence of significant topography to enhance the heating and moisture transport.

The orbital plane of the Moon is tilted slightly (about 5 degrees) to the ecliptic plane which explains the reason that there is not a solar eclipse at every new moon. (Option D)
The reason there is not a solar eclipse at every new moon is due to the tilt of the Moon's orbit relative to the ecliptic plane. The ecliptic plane is the plane of Earth's orbit around the Sun. When the Moon is in its new moon phase, it is positioned between the Earth and the Sun. For a solar eclipse to occur, the Moon's orbit must intersect the ecliptic plane precisely at this time.
However, the Moon's orbital plane is tilted by about 5 degrees with respect to the ecliptic plane. This means that during most new moon phases, the Moon is either above or below the Sun in the sky, and their paths do not intersect. Therefore, a solar eclipse does not occur during every new moon.
The other statements (a, b, c) are true but do not directly explain why there is not a solar eclipse at every new moon. They provide additional information about the Moon's cycle of phases, the precession of the Moon's orbit nodes, and the size of the Moon relative to Earth.
