simplify the story of Achilles
Answer:
Explanation:
The story of Achilles is a famous one from Greek mythology. It centers around Achilles, a mighty warrior and hero of the Trojan War.
Achilles was the son of the mortal Peleus and the sea nymph Thetis. As a baby, his mother dipped him in the river Styx, which made him invulnerable to harm, except for his heel which was not submerged in the water. This became known as his "Achilles heel."
During the Trojan War, Achilles played a crucial role as a warrior for the Greeks. He was known for his exceptional strength, skill in combat, and his famous armor. However, Achilles had a complex personality. He was known for his pride and arrogance, which often led to conflict with others, including the Greek king Agamemnon.
One of the most well-known events in Achilles' story is his conflict with Hector, the greatest warrior of the Trojan army. Achilles sought revenge for the death of his friend Patroclus, who was killed by Hector. In a climactic battle, Achilles killed Hector and dragged his body behind his chariot.
Despite his remarkable abilities, Achilles was not destined to survive the war. Paris, a prince of Troy, shot an arrow guided by the god Apollo that struck Achilles in his vulnerable heel, his only weak spot. Achilles died from the wound.
Achilles' story is often seen as a tragic one, highlighting the consequences of pride and the vulnerability of even the mightiest heroes. His character has been the subject of various adaptations, plays, and works of literature, including Homer's epic poem, the Iliad.

What does hyppolyta thinks about the way hermia is being treated?
The midsummer night’s dream
By Shakespeare
She has a clear opinion on how Hermia is being treated, which is in contrast to Theseus' opinion. Hippolyta believes that Hermia is being treated unjustly by Theseus.
Hermia's father, and the law, which allows him to choose Hermia's suitor. The reason behind this is that Hermia's father, Egeus, wants her to marry Demetrius, who Hermia does not love. Hermia's love, Lysander, and Demetrius both desire Hermia. Hermia is being forced to choose between two men who she does not love while being unable to pursue the man she does love.
It is a situation that Hippolyta finds difficult to tolerate, and she thinks it is unjust. In contrast, Theseus believes that the law should be obeyed, and that Hermia must either marry Demetrius or face the punishment that is given to those who defy the law.
Despite Hippolyta's concerns, Theseus continues to demand that Hermia obey the law. Ultimately, the situation is resolved when the fairy king and queen, Oberon and Titania, use their magic to change the course of events and bring about a happy ending for all involved.

when we visited our British friends in London we couldn't get used to drink tea with breakfast
During our visit to London, we struggled to adapt to the British custom of drinking tea with breakfast. Tea is deeply rooted in British culture and offers a comforting start to the day. This cultural difference highlighted the diversity in breakfast habits. While we didn't fully adjust to tea, we valued the opportunity to learn and understand British customs.
During our visit to our British friends in London, we found it challenging to adapt to the custom of drinking tea with breakfast. This cultural difference stood out to us, as it contrasted with our own breakfast habits. While we were accustomed to other beverage choices such as coffee or juice in the morning, our British friends preferred a hot cup of tea to start their day.
The British tradition of drinking tea with breakfast is deeply ingrained in their culture and has historical roots. Tea has been an integral part of British society for centuries, with tea-drinking being a cherished ritual. In fact, the British are known for their love of tea, and it plays a central role in their social interactions and daily routines.
The preference for tea in the morning can be attributed to several factors. Firstly, tea provides a gentle and comforting way to awaken the senses and gradually ease into the day. Its warm and soothing nature complements the calm and reflective atmosphere often associated with breakfast time. Additionally, tea contains a lower level of caffeine compared to coffee, which some people find more suitable for a gentle start to the day.
Cultural differences in breakfast choices are not uncommon when traveling or experiencing new environments. Embracing these differences can be an enriching part of the travel experience, as it allows us to gain insight into the customs and traditions of different cultures. While we may not have become accustomed to drinking tea with breakfast during our visit to London, we appreciated the opportunity to learn about and appreciate this important aspect of British culture.

A. One's needs are determined by one's wants.
B. Struggling makes you appreciate the times when you are thriving
C. Life is better when you have very little.
D. You should learn to value everything you have.
.
The theme expressed in these lines is (B) "Struggling makes you appreciate the times when you are thriving."
In this poem by Emily Dickinson, the theme is the value of success. In the first line, Dickinson states that success is "counted sweetest" by those who have never achieved it. This is an important statement because it suggests that people who have never succeeded in something appreciate success more than those who have experienced it.
The second line emphasizes this point by stating that "To comprehend a nectar requires sorest need." This means that in order to truly appreciate something, you must experience its absence or struggle to achieve it. Dickinson is making a statement about the nature of success and how it is valued by people.
The poem suggests that people who struggle to achieve something are more likely to value it than those who achieve it easily. This is an important message for people who are striving to achieve success in their own lives. It suggests that if you work hard to achieve something, you will value it more than if it comes to you easily.
In conclusion, the theme expressed in these lines is "Struggling makes you appreciate the times when you are thriving." Emily Dickinson uses the image of a sweet nectar to represent success, and suggests that people who have never tasted it appreciate it the most. By emphasizing the value of hard work and struggle, Dickinson encourages readers to value their own successes and appreciate the efforts of others. The correct answer is B.

While it's true that browsing job advertisements on the internet are a common practice, including this information in a cover letter can come across as unprofessional and detract from the overall effectiveness of the letter.
Additionally, the phrase "I would really like to apply for the job" lacks precision and sounds less confident than it could be. A more effective approach would be to state something like "I am excited to apply for the position of customer service representative advertised on your website." This conveys enthusiasm and demonstrates that the applicant has carefully considered the job opportunity. Therefore, the correct answer is option C.

Answer:
‘Silent Spring’ and ‘Save the Redwood’ are both beautifully worded stories that both tell the story of human effect and neglect to the environment. The two pieces come from two very different backgrounds of authors, they both capture how clueless and mindless people are when it comes to the treatment of the environment, and they both express so elegantly how nature reacts to these changes. Carson grew up in the 1920’s already seeing the horrors of human deforestation, when he said that “Everywhere was a shadow of death.(Carson 1)”, that Muir talks about during the 1840’s. When Muir says that, “...some millmen want to cut all the Calaveras trees into lumber and money.(Muir, 1)” he is referring to the greed that millmen have towards our natural environment. But when this same topic is brought to light in ‘Silent Spring’, Carson writes, “... no enemy action had silenced the rebirth of new life in this stricken world. The people had done it themselves.(Carson, 1)”. This quote shows what can happen to environments that house people who are completely oblivious to the effects they have. Muir talks about how people are blinded by greed and are careless of their effects, but Carson talks about what can happen when people ignore problems like these. Carson begins to make the reader feel guilty, if they too have been close minded to the natural world around them. Muir says it similarly when he says, “Any fool can destroy trees. They cannot defend themselves or run away(Muir, 3).” Through the two short stories ‘Silent Spring’ and ‘Save the Redwood’, the readers are able to comprehend the cause and effect that can be seen through the time differences. The reader can see how ignorance towards the environment is just as bad as disrespectful as not acknowledging it, and is also able to see the effects it holds.
