Why can trees grow in the taiga but are unable to in the tundra?

Answers

Answer:

The climate in the Tundra is cold with little to no rainfall and cold climate along with the frozen soil

Answer: The difference in the climatic and soil condition of the taiga and tundra makes it possible for some trees to grow in the taiga but not in the tundra.

Explanation: Tundra, has a harsher climate, worse soil conditions little precipitation, which makes it challenging for trees to develop and grow makes it difficult for trees to thrive. In contrast, the taiga has a more hospitable environment and soil conditions that allow tree growth. Long, harsh winters and brief, warm summers, along with fertile soil and comparatively high precipitation, are characteristics of the taiga biome.  As a result, taiga can support tree growth but tundra cannot.

When the speed of the bottle is 2 m/s, the KE is kg m2/s2. When the speed of the bottle is 3 m/s, the KE is kg m2/s2. When the speed of the bottle is 4 m/s, the KE is kg m2/s2. When the speed of the bottle is 5 m/s, the KE is kg m2/s2. When the speed of the bottle is 6 m/s, the KE is kg m2/s2.
instructions
In this part of the experiment, you will be changing the speed of the bottle by dropping it from different heights. You will use the same mass, 0.250 kg, for each trial, so record this mass in Table B for each velocity. Then, calculate the expected kinetic energy (KE) at each velocity. Use the formula KE = mv2,
where m is the mass and v is the speed. Record your calculations in Table B of your Student Guide.

Answers

Answer:

Based on the given instructions, you need to calculate the expected kinetic energy (KE) at each velocity using the formula KE = mv^2, where m is the mass and v is the speed. The mass is given as 0.250 kg.

Table B: Calculation of Kinetic Energy (KE)

Table B: Calculation of Kinetic Energy (KE)

Speed (m/s)Mass (kg)KE (kg m^2/s^2)20.2500.50030.2500.75040.2501.00050.2501.25060.2501.500

To calculate the kinetic energy at each velocity, multiply the mass (0.250 kg) by the square of the velocity.

For example, when the speed of the bottle is 2 m/s: KE = (0.250 kg) * (2 m/s)^2 = 0.250 kg * 4 m^2/s^2 = 1.000 kg m^2/s^2

Perform similar calculations for the other velocities and record the results in Table B.

Answer:

Explanation:mass of the bottle in each case is M = 0.250 kg

now as per given speeds we can use the formula of kinetic energy to find it

1) when speed is 2 m/s

kinetic energy is given as

2) when speed is 3 m/s

3) when speed is 4 m/s

Which type of selection is shown in the graph above?
A. Disruptive selection
B. Stabilizing selection
C. Disaster Selection
D. Directional selection

Which type of selection is shown in the graph above? A. Disruptive selectionB. Stabilizing selectionC.

Answers

The anwser is A Disruptive selection

In the given graph, the Evolved Population is showing disruptive selection. Hence, the correct option is A. Disruptive selection.

Stabilizing selection is a form of natural selection where individuals with average phenotypes are more likely to survive and reproduce their number. In this selection, the population tends to maintain a stable phenotype. As shown in the graph, the population is maximum for the population having a moderate length of neck.

Disruptive selection is a type of natural selection where extreme phenotypes are preferred over average phenotypes, leading to an increase in genetic variation and the population becoming more diverse. In this type of selection, the population diverges into two or more distinct phenotypic groups. As shown in the graph, two ranges of the population are favored for having traits for extreme lengths of the neck.

Technique A: Sprayed his corn crop with an insecticide. The insecticide is known to kill all honeybee, butterfly, and moth larvae.
Technique B: Used a genetically modified variety of corn. The plant produces an insecticide which selectively kills only the moth larvae as it feeds on the corn.

Which technique is likely to have less of an impact on the environment?

Technique B because it may help humans who consume corn to fight bacteria
Technique A because it kills a broader variety of insects to protect the corn
Technique B because it preserves the harmless insects and targets only the moth larvae

If the pH of a solution is 10.7, what would the pOH be? A. 3.3 B. 14.0 C. 7.4 D. -10.7

Answers

Answer:

The answer is option A.3.3

The pH of acid is between 0-7 on pH scale while for base pH range is from 7-14.  pH is a unitless quantity. Therefore, the correct option is option A. the pOH of solution is 3.3.

What is pH?

pH is a measurement of amount of hydronium ion H₃O⁺ in a given sample. More the value of hydronium ion concentration, more will be the solution acidic.

On subtracting pH from 14, we get pOH which measures the concentration of hydroxide ion in a given solution. pH depend on the temperature. At room temperature pH scale is between 0 to 14. pH of neutral solution is 7.

Mathematically, the relation between pH and pOH can be given as

pH+ pOH=14

pH= 10.7

substituting all the given values in the above equation, we get

10.7+ pOH=14

pOH=14-10.7

        =3.3

Therefore, the correct option is option A. the pOH of solution is 3.3.

Hey Lenny lately I’ve been having a rough time in the water cycle. It all started when I was chilling in my favorite location the “glaciars” and suddenly the sun turned me into liquid form. Next thing I know I am hurdling down a river straight into a massive lake. Personally this is my least favorite stage of the water cycle because of kids and bacteria that lurk in the water, very scary things. I didn’t stop at the lake very long, and instead sunk into the soil in a process called collection so I could become ground water. Underground reservoir’s are much more peaceful then lakes and I wanted to stay there. However I was forced up a water well pump shortly after and sent through a long tube. Me and couple of the friends I met on the way were all dispersed over a giant grass feild. Many molecules in the group were captured by the hostile plants but I escaped through the means of evaporation. Currently I have condensed into cloud form and I am roaming the skies looking for you, when you get this let me know and I’ll percipitate in your area! P.s I found this photo of us freezing over in the ice age lollll.
